Clean water project: a beacon of hope
Access to clean water is a fundamental human right, essential for the well-being and prosperity of individuals, communities and nations. In Sri Lanka, a country with rich history and diverse culture, the need for clean water is more pressing than ever.
Why Sri Lanka?
Sri Lanka is a multi-ethnic and religious nation with a rich cultural heritage and focuses on agriculture and tourism, dating back to the 1970s a crisis started in the north which lasted for 30 years where the youths started to stand up for their rights due to the drift between the North and south. The youths in the North were not allowed to attend schools in the South. Building wells for these people brings a sense of self-healing and a sense of reconciliation, imagine building a well in an undeveloped community in the south, the people will have a self-healing knowing that they have access to clean water without any restrictions.
Why wells?
Growing up in a community where we only relied on wells to get water, I’ll say it is the best source of water aside rain it serves for all purposes in all seasons, brings the people in the community together as we all gather to get water.
In communities, especially the ones in Sri Lanka with rich cultural heritage, well drilling will be of good benefit to them as it will help foster unity amongst the people and is also easy to maintain.
Some people will say it isn’t healthy, but then well water comes naturally with its underground filter which helps to sieve out germs and this is healthy as it helps reduce water borne diseases like diarrhea, dysentery which are prevalent in Sri Lanka.
What is our motive?
A lot of people will be wondering why my ministry is doing this. I believe that by providing this for the people of Sri Lanka, it will bring about a form of spiritual transformation in the region. We are still on Our mission which is centered on creating a worldwide influence through training of creative leaders and supporting revival efforts worldwide, through this, we aim at supporting such projects to help creative people live healthy as most of them come from such communities.
By supporting clean water projects in Sri Lanka, we can make a tangible difference in the lives of individuals, creatives, communities and the environment. Together we can create a brighter, healthier and more prosperous future for all.
